How to Clear Your Personal Dictionary in QXONI Type

When using QXONI Type, the keyboard locally adapts to your vocabulary, writing style, and frequently used phrases to improve predictive suggestions over time. If you want to delete learned slang, remove accidental typos, or completely refresh your custom directory, you can reset your local data at any time.

📊 What gets deleted?

  • Learned Words All custom words, usernames, or abbreviations you manually typed or saved to the list.
  • Typo Correction Cache The local dictionary memory that remembers your individual typing habits and layout corrections.
  • Phrase Shortcuts Personal word associations used for quicker predictive suggestions.

Steps to reset your personal dictionary:

  1. Open your device Settings and go to the Language & Input category.
  2. Select QXONI Type from your active list of virtual keyboards.
  3. Tap on the menu section labeled Privacy & Personal Data.
  4. Select the option Clear Personal Dictionary or Reset Custom Vocabulary.
  5. Confirm the dialog prompt by entering your device passcode if required.

⚠️ Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once cleared, your keyboard will return to the default system layout vocabulary and must relearn your personalized vocabulary adjustments from scratch.

Alternative: Deleting individual words

If you only want to remove specific misspelled words without losing your entire personal dictionary database, simply wait until the unwanted word appears in the prediction bar above your keyboard while typing. Tap and hold the suggestion text entry, then drag it upward toward the trash icon or select "Remove Suggestion" from the pop-up field window.
